The Hamburg Marathon is Germany's most popular spring marathon running event.
In 2018, approximately 10,000 marathon runners and 1,500 relay teams completed the 42.2km marathon course. The 21.1km half marathon had over 2,700 finishers.
The start and finish lines are situated at the Hamburg Messe (Hamburg Exhibition Centre), with the half marathon starting at 8.30 a.m. and the marathon and relay one our later.
